Today in 1926 John Logie Baird, a Scottish inventor, demonstrated a pictorial transmission machine called television. Although the development of television was the result of work by many inventors, Baird was a prominent pioneer and made major advances in the field.He later demonstrated the world's first colour transmission on 3 July 1928.
