Today in 1843 Charles Dickens' 'A Christmas Carol' was first published in England. Dickens was the most popular writer of the Victorian era and his work has never gone out of print (which means that you can still buy new editions of his classic tales to this day).The movie 'Scrooged' (see picture) was based on 'A Christmas Carol' and is one of my all time favourite Christmas films.
