Down but not out

On this day in 1944 during the Second World War Germany counter-attacked in Ardennes. The Germans had mounted a series of counter-attacks on the Western front allowing them to re-cross the borders of Luxembourg and Belgium.

If you have a look at the picture you can see why the American troops had difficulty blending in to their surroundings with their khaki uniforms.


On a related note it almost snowed here today. Who doesn't like it when it snows?
